Project Name: “Opportunities for all” – promoting social inclusion of migrants

The workshop aimed to inspire participants to be active and engage citizens, and to give them a better understanding of issues concerning migration and social inclusion. The objective of the workshop was to enable participants to gain useful knowledge, contacts and access to a European network.

A specialist school in Northern Ireland worked with partners from eight European countries to empower children with multiple disabilities and visual impairments (MDVI) and their educators.

Universities from Turkey, Greece, Estonia and Slovenia worked together to share folk tales from across their partner countries to increase cultural, multicultural and intercultural awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity.

The PAIE project was a partnership set up between Leeds in the UK and Nyköping in Sweden aimed at ensuring that pupils from different ethnic backgrounds, with a particular focus on those newly arrived at schools, achieved their full potential.

“Act Well” successfully promoted positive attitudes towards the inclusion of young adults with learning difficulties and provided new innovative learning approaches.

The Italian Union of Blind and Partially Sighted worked with partners in Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Romania and Sweden to strengthen the skills of their staff. Those working with the visually impaired were able to acquire processes and methods for integrating different aspects of working with the visually impaired through a comparison with experiences with other countries.

The 2007 Grundtvig Multilateral All Inclusive project looked at people who face discrimination on more than one level, they are disabled and have a migrant background, and will create an excellence network to support organisations in meeting the needs of this group.

The Learning Partnership intended to find as much information as possible about animal therapy that is used for people with disabilities – among the partners, in their countries and also around Europe.
